Each earring is made with a combination of lab-grown rubies and lab-grown white sapphire stones. They are arranged in an alternating design: two square rectangular rubies fused together, followed by a thin line of four circular, smaller white sapphire stones, starting from the top of the half hoop earring down to the bottom. The curved bottom portion of the hoop has no stones, and is simply the same 14K yellow gold or sterling silver backing that the rest of the earring is made of. In total, the pair of earrings has rubies measuring ⅝ carats, and the white sapphires measure ⅙ carats total.
