FanTokens Changing to Nexus Tokens
HootDex is evolving and the name of our engagement driven digital instruments is evolving with it. FanTokens will soon transition to Nexus Tokens, a change that reflects their true scale, purpose, and cross‑sector capability. As these tokens have grown beyond traditional fan engagement, the original name no longer represents what they are or how they are used across sports, entertainment, brands, non‑profits, events, and enterprise ecosystems.
Nexus Tokens retain everything users value, DAT backing, ERC‑20 portability, PNP16 architecture, and HootDex price discovery. The functionality remains exactly the same, but the name now aligns with the broader, universal role these tokens play as a connection point between organisations and their communities.
This update is seamless for all holders and issuers and marks the next step in the continued expansion of the HootDex ecosystem.

HootDex is expanding again and this time we’re bringing synthetic equity exposure directly into the decentralized exchange. EquiTrack Tokens, the onchain synthetic representations of major global equities and ETF benchmarks, are officially rolling out on HootDex.
Update – Aug 11, 2026 – System Stress Test Update
During a recent system stress test, a glitch was identified in the Order Book Depth for a specific DBT token, which resulted in phantom data appearing within the test environment. It is important to note that this data did not originate from the Central Limit Order Book, the trading systems, or any live market feeds. The purpose of these periodic stress tests is to expose any anomalies or vulnerabilities before they can affect real‑time operations, ensuring that our members remain fully protected. This particular issue has already been isolated and addressed, and further testing continues to reinforce the stability and reliability of the entire ecosystem.
Update – Aug 10, 2026
MetaMask onboarding is now fully integrated into the Pecu Wallet, providing a simple and secure way for users to acquire PECU in order to swap for a range of Pecu Novus‑based assets on HootDex. This enhancement creates a frictionless entry point into the ecosystem and strengthens institutional scalability through seamless use of Pecu Wallet Access Keys. HootDex becomes easier to access, easier to trust, and easier to scale globally, with access keys working smoothly across connected trading platforms. Institutions can also integrate multiple keys within a single system, enabling convenient multi‑wallet trading.
Update – July 23, 2026
Following the Pecu Novus 3.0 Themis upgrades that has been rolling out in phases, which added ERC-20/EVM compliance on a Pecu Novus on a protocol level recently, there was a process of having all tokens created on the blockchain to be compliant as well, we are happy to say that as of today all tokens that have been minted via HootDex, that are trading on HootDex, are all ERC-20 compliant. This allows for portability across ERC-20 platforms that allow it.
Tokens Added – July 22, 2026
A series of yield bearing XMG Prime Yield Tokens "XPYT" and XMG Apex Yield Tokens "XAYT" have been added to HootDex for price discovery, they will be available on an OTC basis initially once all are priced out and made available for broader acquisition in the near future.
July 21, 2026 – HootDex FIX API
Upgrades to the HootDex FIX API will show the consumption of data from the Pecu Novus blockchain, treasuries, smart contact data and other important information for institutions and aggregators.
HootDex Update – 9 July 2026
HootDex is rolling out an upgrade to its treasury reporting system, ensuring every token on the platform displays transparent, on‑chain collateral backing through the Pecu Novus digital asset treasury. These improvements will appear across HootDex throughout the week as part of our commitment to clearer, verifiable token data.
XMG Prime & Apex Yield Tokens Being Added to HootDex (June 6, 2026)
A series of XMG Apex Yield Tokens (XAYT) and XMG Prime Yield Tokens (XPYT) are now being added to HootDex, expanding the Digital Credit Note token ecosystem with two fully PNP16 and ERC‑20 compliant yield instruments.
Over the coming week, formal pricing will be initiated for each DCN, and until that process begins, there will be no active price discovery on the platform. Both yield tokens will distribute returns hourly, and all trading will occur strictly on an OTC basis, ensuring proper suitability and institutional‑grade handling. While secondary market opportunities may emerge away from HootDex over time, XAYT and XPYT will always retain the same smart‑contract data, functions, and treasury‑backed structure, regardless of where qualified counterparties choose to transact.
HootDex Limit Orders
Advanced Trading. Self-Custody. Blockchain Settlement.
HootDex combines the precision of traditional market trading with the transparency and ownership benefits of decentralised finance. Through proprietary smart contracts and the PNP16 Central Limit Order Book architecture operating on the Pecu Novus blockchain, traders can place limit orders that execute automatically when market conditions reach their specified price targets.
Unlike traditional exchanges that require users to surrender custody of their assets, HootDex allows traders to maintain control of their digital assets within their own wallets until execution occurs.
What Is a Limit Order?
A limit order allows a trader to specify the exact price at which they wish to swap one digital asset for another. Instead of executing immediately at the current market rate, the order remains active until the market reaches the selected target price.
For example:
- Swap PECU for USXM when PECU reaches a specific value.
- Acquire a digital asset only if it falls to a predefined price.
- Sell an asset automatically once a desired profit target has been achieved.
- Establish strategic entry and exit points without constant market monitoring.
This gives traders greater control over pricing, risk management and execution strategies.
How HootDex Limit Orders Work
When a trader places a limit order on HootDex, the order parameters are recorded through proprietary smart contract infrastructure operating on the Pecu Novus blockchain. The system continuously monitors market conditions against the instructions established by the trader.
Once the predetermined price is reached:
- The order is triggered.
- Smart contract validation begins.
- The originating wallet is checked to verify that the required digital assets remain available.
- If the assets are present, the swap executes automatically.
- Settlement occurs through the Pecu Novus blockchain.
This automated execution workflow ensures seamless trading precision backed by smart contract reliability.
Self-Custody Remains Intact
One of the most important aspects of HootDex limit orders is that traders retain control of their assets.
Unlike many centralised exchanges:
- Assets are not deposited into exchange-controlled accounts.
- Assets are not surrendered to a third-party custodian.
- Wallet ownership remains with the user.
- Traders maintain flexibility to manage their assets while orders remain active.
HootDex was designed to combine sophisticated trading functionality with blockchain-based self-custody, allowing users to participate in advanced trading strategies without sacrificing control over their holdings.
Fill or Kill Validation
A unique aspect of the HootDex limit order framework is the validation process that occurs at the moment of execution. When the market reaches the specified price, the system verifies that the wallet still contains the required assets needed to complete the transaction.
If the assets remain available, the order executes.
If the assets have been transferred, sold elsewhere, moved to another wallet, used in another application, or reduced below the required amount, the order fails.
In practical terms, the transaction becomes a blockchain-based variation of a "Fill or Kill" instruction at the point of settlement. The order either completes because all conditions are satisfied, or it terminates because the assets required for execution are no longer available.
Powered by the PNP16 Central Limit Order Book
The ability to support decentralised limit orders is made possible through the PNP16 architecture and the HootDex Central Limit Order Book. The Central Limit Order Book introduces a more sophisticated market structure than simple swap-only trading models by supporting:
1. Limit Orders
